Dinner and show
The Package
Our Dinner and Show deal is ideal for a romantic night out, hosting out of town clients or for your next function.
For only $60 per person, the package includes a two course meal at either Aberdeen, The Brewer's Apprentice or Mao Bar, plus a ticket to the current show at Centrepoint Theatre.
This is an exclusive opportunity to experience the best Palmerston North has to offer in fine dining and professional theatre.
Below are the set menus for all three restaurants. Please note that these are subject to change.
All bookings for dinner and show are to be made through Centrepoint Theatre on 354 5740. Centrepoint staff will make all dinner reservations on behalf of the patrons. For enquiries please email vanessa@centrepoint.co.nz
PAYMENT:
For the dinner and show package, all tickets must be paid for at the time of booking. Dinner reservations cannot be made without payment and must be made no later than a week in advance. Any additional food or beverage is to be paid for at the restaurant.
Thursday - Saturday the show starts at 8pm so dinner bookings will be made for no later than 6:00pm. For Wednesday shows at 6:30pm and Sunday shows at 5pm, reservations will be made for AFTER the performance.
The show is approximately 2 hours in duration.

Aberdeen Menu

Your choice of a Starter and Main or a Main and a Dessert
Your choice of Starters:
- Soup of the Day, toasted bread
- Bruschetta, garlic buttered baguette with vine tomato, basil, marinated feta, balsamic reduction & extra virgin olive oil
- Rosemary Crumbed Portabello Mushrooms, served on ratatouille, rocket and creme fraiche
- Salt & Pepper Prawns, served with aioli and Japanese dipping sauce
Your choice of the following Mains:
- AngusPure Scotch Fillet, roasted gourmet potatoes, seasonal vegetables and a choice of garlic butter, green peppercorn or mushroom sauce
- Fish of the Day, pan-fried & served on roast pumpkin. Drizelled with coconut, chilli, lime and basil dressing accompanied with a mango salsa.
- Chicken Salad, pan-fried chicken on mixed greens, tomato, avocado, cucumber, red onion, brie and pine nuts - topped with beetroot relish, aioli and lavosh - your choice of either Cajun or Marinated Chicken
- Vegetarian option available on request

- 300gm scotch fillet on rosemary sea salt seasoned hand cut chips surrounded with mushroom, tomato and bacon hunter sauce and Monteith's Golden battered onion rings
- Cornfed chicken breast with a sweet pepper, creme cheese and lime filling on a bed of garlic and chick pea fritter covered with a roasted vine tomato and coriander ragout
- Vegetarian sweetcorn, kumara and broccoli fritters served on beetroot couli with a roquette, fried shallot and capsicum salad
- Panfried white fish on honey roasted parsnip, lemon and potato mash with braised witlof, rocket aioli, salsa verde and avocado oil
Your choice of the following desserts:
- Award winning Rush Munro ice cream selection with butterscotch sauce and almond tuille
- Decadent chocolate brownie with strawberry mint creme fraiche and silky chocolate sauce

- Jiao Zi (fresh steamed dumplings)
Your Choice of the following Mains:
- Red Jade Beef or Pork with shitake mushrooms in an aromatic oyster sauce on a bed of seasonal vegetables and rice.
- Chicken Breast marinated in a mild garlic dressing with a chilli breadcrumb coating to ensure succulent cooking, accompanied by side salad and vegetables.
- Malaysian Chicken Curry. An authentic dish from South East Asia with coconut and coriander flavours, served with rice, Roti bread, mango puree and natural yoghurt raita.
- Mapu Tofu (Vegetarian Option). Hot Sichuan region traditional tofu chunks cooked with spicy bean sauce and served with Singapore noodles.
- Plain Chicken Salad (Gluten-free Option). Oven baked chicken strips on a fresh green salad dressed with a mango coulis and topped with crunchy kumara shards.
