The Package

 

Our Dinner and Show deal is ideal for a romantic night out, hosting out of town clients or for your next function.

For only $68 per person, the package includes a meal at either AberdeenThe Brewer's Apprentice or Barista plus a ticket to the current show at Centrepoint Theatre.

This is an exclusive opportunity to experience the best Palmerston North has to offer in fine dining and professional theatre. 

Below are the set menus for all the restaurants. Please note that these are subject to change.

All bookings for dinner and show are to be made through Centrepoint Theatre on 354 5740. Centrepoint staff will make all dinner reservations on behalf of the patrons. For enquiries please email vanessa@centrepoint.co.nz

PAYMENT:

For the dinner and show package, all tickets must be paid for at the time of booking. Dinner reservations cannot be made without payment and must be made no later than a week in advance. Any additional food or beverage is to be paid for at the restaurant.

Thursday - Saturday the show starts at 8pm so dinner bookings will be made for no later than 6:00pm.

For Wednesday shows at 6:30pm and Sunday shows at 5pm, reservations will be made for AFTER the performance.

The show is approximately 2 hours in duration.

 

Menus

 

Aberdeen Menu

 

Starter:

Garlic bread to share. 

Your choice of the following mains:

  •  AngusPure Scotch Fillet.  Roasted gourmet potatoes, seasonal vegetables and a choice of mushroom sauce, green peppercorn sauce or garlic butter
  •  Fish of the Day.  Pan fried fish of the day, coated with light parmesan crumbs, resting on a creamy mash and served with roast garlic, tomato sauce and finished with a winter pesto
  •  Chicken.  Brie, ciabatta and onion stuffed chicken breast, encased in crispy bacon.  Served with sautéed kumara, baby spinach and a cranberry sauce
  •  Vegetarian.  Feta and rosemary polenta with roasted pumpkin.  Topped with roast tomatoes and onion, a grilled flat brown mushroom, rocket and sundried tomato pesto

Your choice of a Main and Dessert:

Mains

  • 200gm scotch fillet on rosemary sea salt seasoned hand cut chips surrounded with mushroom, tomato and bacon hunter sauce and Monteith's Golden battered onion rings 
  • Dijon and maple glazed chicken breast on persian roasted pumpkin, gnocchi crisp sage bed with garlic croutons and fried shallots
  • Mushroom, spinach and grilled eggplant in a creamy lemon and parmesan sauce topped with roasted pinenuts and rocket 

 Dessert

  •  Rum and raisin brulee with biscotti
  •  Trio of Movenpick ice cream with butterscotch sauce and almond tuile 

 

Barista Menu

 

Starter:

Garlic bread (GF availiable) with garlic butter, herbs, mozzarella & sundried tomatoes

Your choice of the following mains:

  • Pesto risotto cakes (GF). Sautéed pesto risotto cakes stuffed with aged cheddar cheese; served on gourmet mushroom, drizzled with tomato relish   
  • Beef Salad (GF) (or vegetarian option).  Port poached pears, blue cheese, cherry tomatoes and walnuts, finished with honey dressing
  • BBQ chicken linguine (GF avaliable). Chicken breast pieces in a spice rub, with bacon, sun-dried tomatoes & spinach in a cream reduction (GF option)
  • Chicken Salad  (GF).  Tossed through with pea shoots, coriander, mint, roasted peanuts, and finished with an Asian style dressing
  • Lamb Rump (GF).  Lamb Rump served on home-made haricot bean, bacon and tomato cassoulet, and finished with a rosemary aioli
  • Scotch Fillet  (GF).  Cooked to your liking, with duck fat baby potatoes, Café de Paris butter, and red wine jus

  Plus a regular coffee or TLeaf tea with your meal, or after the show
