EducationLink was set up in 2007 to foster the connection between Centrepoint and the schools of the lower North Island, and to develop tomorrow's theatre-going audience by giving Kiwi youth a way of experiencing and learning about professional theatre.
Theatre workshops
A range of drama and technical workshops which can be tailored to students of any age.
Theatre labs
Professional development for drama teachers.
Forum evenings
Forums can be held after a show if they are requested well in advance by your school. Forums give students the chance to gain insight into the creation of a professional theatre production.
Study packs
Study packs can be provided to schools for most productions. They are a form of curriculum support aimed at encouraging student expression, exploration and critical thinking.
The Basement Company
Sponsored by Inspire Net
Centrepoint's own youth theatre company is designed to extend students who show potential in the field of the dramatic arts. Young performers from high schools around the region gain exposure to professional coaching, direction and life as an actor/director during the one year programme.
